Chapel Allerton Handicap

The CHAPEL ALLERTON HANDICAP (formally Margaret's Run) is a fun, 5 mile handicapped run, for CAR members only. The course is a beautiful off-road trail run, marked and marshalled around Eccup reservoir.

It is a handicapped race, meaning runners are set off at intervals depending on their ability, so all participants are in with a chance to cross the line first - rather than just the fastest runners. This means it is a great event for slower runners and beginners who have a chance to place high and even cross the line first to win a trophy.

All abilities are welcome and everybody has the chance to win the men's or women's handicap trophies.

There are prizes and trophies are for the 1st male and female runners to cross the line, and for for the fastest runners. This race also counts towards our Club Championship

After the race, we meet at the club for a presentation of trophies, prizes and a social.
